The Technology Education Collegiate Association (TECA) of Virginia Tech (VT) is a nonprofit student organization based in the Technology Education Program. Our main goal is to promote technology education to other students and the community. TECA membership is open to all undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in technology and the teaching of technology to others. We usually meet twice a month to discuss a variety of topics including future service projects, social activities, professional conferences, fund raising projects, open labs, elections, etc.

TECA of VT sponsors many service projects. We have hosted public school student groups for hands on technology activities and we usually serve as judges at the Technology Student Association (TSA) rallies and competitions for middle school and high school students. Many of our members attend the TECA Eastern Regional Conference where we compete against students from other major universities in technological problem solving events. A few of our members often attend the ITEA National Conference.
