ESTABLISHED in 1997
GRAPHIC COMM CENTRAL was founded in 1997, with support from the Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation (GAERF®).
PURPOSE
To establish and maintain the GRAPHIC COMM CENTRAL Web site, which provides a wide range of information and services for Graphic Communication teachers, students, and industry personnel.
GOAL
To establish GRAPHIC COMM CENTRAL as the hub on the WWW to which Graphic Communication teachers, students, and industry personnel first turn when looking for educational materials.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
- Establish and maintain links to information on the WWW useful to Graphic Communication teachers, students, and industry personnel.
- Convert printed educational resources to Web-viewable formats for inclusion on the GRAPHIC COMM CENTRALWeb site.
- Create and deliver new products and services deemed useful for Graphic Communication teachers, students, and industry personnel.
- Create dialogue and a forum for the sharing of ideas among Graphic Communication teachers and industry personnel (via the GCC-L Listserv.)
- Create linkages between the Graphic Communication education and industry sectors.
